MRS. LAURA JUNE JOHNSON

Fellow Lions, please keep Lion Joe & Pat Silvers, District 31-A, in your prayers. Lion Pat’s mother, June Johnson, passed away Thursday, September 1st after a period of declining health. Following is the obituary.

MRS. LAURA JUNE JOHNSON
Mrs. Laura June Johnson, 86, of Burnsville, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2011, in Brookside Rehabilitation & Care. A native of Yancey County, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Belle Duncan Chrisawn. She was also preceded in death by her husband: Johnny Johnson; and, two brothers: Winslow and John Lee Chrisawn. She was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church and was the church pianist for many years.
Surviving are her daughters: Vicky Rimmer and husband, Glenn, of Statesville, Pat Silvers and husband, Joe, of Asheville, and Wanda Chaney and husband, Conrad, of Rock Hill, SC. She was blessed with three granddaughters and four wonderful great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held at 2PM Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Crabtree Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8PM Saturday at the funeral home.
