The Knights for the Blind Charitable Trust was formed about one year ago with the main purpose to provide financial assistance grants to those blind or visually impaired persons whose needs cannot be met by Lions club, agencies or other organization. Presently we have 28 members in the organization. At the October 15, 2011 the Knights approved its first grant of $1771.34 to pay for cataract surgery for Ms Donna Pryce. The application for this grant came through the Rockingham Lions Club.
The Knights of the Blind Charitable Trust is open to anyone who would like to help those with eye sight issues who are not financially able to fund the procedure. And if the local Lions club is not able to fund the cost, the Knights may be able to help. The initial dues are $500 per year and then $300 annually thereafter. If you like an application or have any questions, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
