As Lions, we are part of a diverse global organization with clubs as unique as the projects we undertake and the people we serve. We may all speak differently, but we are unified by the common language of service.
When I attended the FOLAC Forum in Mexico, I was struck by the fact that, although we are so different, we have all rallied around the simple idea of planting trees. With more than 6.6 million trees planted around the world by Lions, we are leaving a legacy of service to our communities. It doesn’t matter where you live, what your occupation is or what your club’s signature service project is – everyone can plant a tree today that will make a difference tomorrow. I believe that through planting trees, we are uniting to improve our environment.
