Keep up the great work.

First, I just have to say that District 31F is doing a fantastic job. Please keep up the good work with White Cane fundraising and Camp Dogwood raffle sales.

Second is a note about leadership for next year. On the district level, if anyone is interested in a specific district chair position, please let me know. Club level elections should have been completed in February and PU101s should have been sent to Lions International this past month. Please remember to keep the district governor’s team in the loop so that we can get correct names, phone numbers and addresses into the district directory and get the district directory out on time. Finally, we hope to print fewer district directories by posting some information on a “lions only/password protected area” on a website. We’ll see if that’s practical and safe.

Important dates upcoming for the district are:
Boys and Girls Home clean up April 14th
State Convention May 18-20
Awards and Installation May 26th
Lions Humanitarian Services Kickoff July 14th (White Cane Kickoff)
Club, zone and district training July 14th (After White Cane Kickoff)

Joke of the month
A little silver-haired lady calls her neighbor and says, “Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can’t figure out how to get started.”
Her neighbor asks, “What is it supposed to be when it’s finished?”
The little silver haired lady says, “According to the picture on the box, it’s a rooster.”
Her neighbor decides to go over and help with the puzzle.
She lets him in and shows him where she has the puzzle spread all over the table.
He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and says,
“First of all, no matter what we do, we’re not going to be able to assemble these pieces into anything resembling a rooster.”
He takes her hand and says, “Secondly, I want you to relax. Let’s have a nice cup of tea, and then,” he said with a deep sigh,
“Let’s put all the Corn Flakes back in the box.”

Thank you for all of the wonderful work you have done over the last month. Lions make a difference in their communities and all over this world! I’m proud to be a part of that difference and proud to be associated with you. If you have any questions, concerns or ideas please contact me directly at:

It is my pleasure to serve our district’s humanitarian goals with you.

Randy Kirby
1st Vice District Governor
