Have you invited someone to become a Lion recently? If not, why? We become Lions because we want to be involved in our communities in positive ways. We enjoy the fellowship of meetings and doing service and fundraising projects. We enjoy and look forward to being with our Lions Club friends. Why would we not want to share the Lions Club experience with friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers? The average age of a Lions Club member in North Carolina is 67. Although 67 does not seem as “old” as I once thought it was, it does point to a problem. Our membership is rapidly aging. We need younger Lions if our clubs are to survive and continue to provide the community services and programs for the blind and visually impaired that we now provide. We need new Lions with helping hands and willing hearts to help provide services and meet needs.
