After serving as your International President for nearly one year, I am still continually amazed and humbled by the work you do. Lions and Leos around the world are constantly finding innovative ways to improve their communities around the world, solving problems big and small for our neighbors.
Because our 1.35 million members perform service in every corner of the globe every day, I only visit a handful of these life-changing projects. However, I take great pleasure in reading the many e-mails I’ve received from Lions club presidents. The Biratnagar Central Lions Club in Nepal told me about a free dental camp it organized at a school. Nearly 360 students received checkups and the club distributed medicine at the clinic as well.
I believe that when our clubs provide health care for children, we are improving the health of the future.
